Who doesn't love nature with all its pretty flowers, landscapes, and butterflies? Well, you probably won't anymore either, after you'll see all these Mother Nature's creepy critters.
1. It's just lava
This crater looks like the Gate to Hell and it seems to be sucking a bunch of doomed souls into it. It's just a volcano, but it still gives you nightmares.
2. Clathrus archeri, "Devil's fingers"
Even though it looks like it erupted from some kind of an alien egg, this is actually just a harmless fungus. Besides is satan-like shape, it also smells like rotten flesh in maturity. So much fun!
3. The horrifying work of wasps
If you ever walked by this wasps nest, you'd probably lock yourself into a church and spend the rest of your days never sleeping again.
4. Moms can be scary
This looks terrifying, yikes! but it's actually just a mama caterpillar protecting her babies. Sounds cute, but it clearly isn't.
5. Cymothoa exigua
Being a fish has its downsides, that's for sure. Besides living underwater where there's no internet, it also has to deal with this parasite which eats and then replaces its tongue.
6. Creepy fish skeleton
Now here's something you don't want to see while you're taking a romantic walk on the beach. Never. Sleep. Again.
7. A dangerous meal
The snake ate a centipede, nothing weird about this, except the creature ate its way out of the viper's stomach. Yikes!
8. The lamprey
This scary jawless fish has a toothed funnel-like mouth it uses to bore into the flesh of other fish, to suck all their blood. Fun, fun!
9. Flatworms mating
Here are two flatworms engaging in penis fencing, or in other words, making love. Sweet. Except that the flatworm who loses this "fight" becomes a female, or in other words, the mother.
10. A scary worm
This Antartic worm, Eulagisca Gigantean, is found on the seabed in the Southern Ocean. And judging by the looks of it, that's a place we're never ever going to. Yiikes!
