10 Important Signs That You're Not Getting Enough Sleep
The lack of sleep can have serious consequences on your health. If you've noticed these signs, you may want to recheck your sleeping hours.
1. Your skin doesn't look very good.
The lack of sleep can mess with your hormonal balance and your immune system, causing acne and wrinkles on your skin.
2. Your eyes don't look very good.
When you aren't getting enough sleep, you may be experiencing redness, puffiness, dark circles and bags under your eyes. If you're having trouble seeing or reading up close, it could be a sign that you need some rest.
3. You gain weight.
When you don't sleep enough, your body can no longer properly manage the hormones that control how hungry you feel. Because of this, you feel the need to eat more, you're starving all the time, and you end up gaining weight.
4. You crave unhealthy snacks.
If you've ever been hungover, you know that feeling when you really need a cheeseburger. The same thing happens when you're extremely tired: your brain craves junk food and unhealthy snacks.
