Billionaire Announces That He's Burying His Bentley But There's A Twist
When this man announced that he's burying his Bentley so he could drive it in his afterlife, everyone criticized him. But there was a twist.
Thane Chiquinho Scarpa is one of the richest and most powerful men in Brazil. When he announced that he's planning to bury his Bentley so he could drive it in the afterlife, everyone thought that he'd lost his mind.
The man said that he was inspired to bury his $450,000 car after a visit to Egypt: "I decided to do as the Pharaohs: this week I will bury my favorite car, the Bentley here in the home garden! Bury my treasure in my palace rssss !!!"
Needless to say, everyone reacted. Many people said that he should donate the car to charity, that he was wasteful and out-of-touch with reality. How crazy was he to bury a car? How could he even believe that he'd still use it after his death?
But the reactions didn't stop the man to carry on with the ceremony and continued to post his burial plans on social media.
The "funeral" day came, and his yard was filled with media representatives waiting to see a crazy billionaire burying a very expensive car. But just moments before the car was lowered into the ground, the man stopped the procession to deliver a speech:
"People have condemned me for trying to bury a million dollar Bentley. The fact is, most people bury something a lot more valuable than my car. People bury hearts, livers, lungs, eyes, and kidneys. This is absurd. There are so many people out there waiting for a transplant and you will bury healthy organs that can save so many lives. This is the biggest waste in the world. My Bentley is worthless in comparison to life-giving organs. There is no wealth more valuable than an organ because there is nothing more valuable than life.
I officially announce I am an organ donor this week. I'm an organ donor, are you? Tell your family."
Of course, he didn't bury his car, after all. Instead, he gave us all a very powerful message.
