Why does acne appear?
Acne is a skin problem that can affect anyone, regardless of age, sex or skin type. According to a study, 80% of people between 11 and 30 years old deal with acne at some point. Usually, body acne occurs when the hair follicles are clogged with dead skin cells and the skin's oils. It can be a reaction to clothes, perspiration, but it can also be a sign of a health issue.
1. Body acne on the buttocks area.
This usually appears when the clothes you wear, especially the underwear and pants, are unbreathable. Try wearing a more breathable fabric, like cotton. If this doesn't change anything, you may need to change your diet: avoid sugar and fatty foods, eat fresh vegetable and fruits and drink plenty of water.
2. Acne on your jawline or neck.
Acne in this area is associated with overactive adrenal glands which are related to hormones. It can also be a sign that you're eating too much sugar, so try cutting off the sweets for a while.
3. Body acne on your shoulders.
The acne in this area can be a reaction to the fabric you're wearing and the body lotion, soap or body lotion you're using. It can also be a sign that you're stressed out or you're eating too many fried and high-calorie foods.
4. Body acne on your chest.
Sweat, unbreathable clothes and the ingredients in body products are the most common causes of body acne in this area. However, it may also reveal a digestive issue or a poor diet.
5. Body acne on your elbows.
Small blotches on this area can be a sign of keratosis pilaris, a harmless skin condition that occurs due to the accumulation of keratin. However, it can also be a sign that your lacking vitamins, so make sure you have a balanced diet, rich in nutrients.
6. Body acne on your stomach.
Acne in this area can be caused by unbreathable fabric, sweat or the products you're using, but it can also reveal an issue with your blood sugar levels.
7. Body acne on your back.
The "bacne" can be caused by stress, issues with your nervous system or with your digestion. Make sure you wear breathable clothes, you drink plenty of water and you have a balanced diet.
8. Acne on your scalp.
If you have pimples on your scalp, it may be time to change your shampoo and/or conditioner. Choose products that have the minimum amount of perfume and chemicals and avoid wearing a hat for a while.
9. Body acne on your leg.
The acne in this area usually appears when you're wearing pants that are too tight or are made from an unbreathable fabric. It can also be an allergic reaction to the detergents you're using or a result of dry skin. Drink plenty of water, exfoliate your skin, and try eating less sugar and fried foods.
